Social Play

Social play is the foundation of our club. 

​

You will find club members playing for fun at our regular playing times of;

Tuesday - 3PM onwards

Wednesday - 10AM to Lunchtime

Thursday - 3PM onwards

Saturday - 10AM to Lunchtime

Sunday - 5PM (December - February ) 2PM (Rest of the year)

 

Show up, add your name and start playing, it is as easy as that, need equipment, we can provide everything you need!

Capital Petanque Club - Training

Training

We offer hands on training to anyone wanting to learn the game just by coming along to any of our normal social play sessions.

​

Alternatively we offer a training night on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 18:00, where our three qualified PFA coaches help players develop the basics, tactics, competition play, equipment and rules.

Capital Petanque Club - Umpires

Umpires

We are fortunate at our club to have 2 national level, 4 state level and 5 club level umpires. 

​

We offer regular training to our umpires and to new players wishing to have a better understanding of the rules.

​

As a club we follow the official rules of the Petanque Federation of Australias which are always available to download.

Club Competitions

We have regular club competitions throughout the year for a chance for players to play in a competitive environment.

Interstate & International

How far do you want to take the game, as a member of the Capital Petanque Club you are automatically a member of the Petanque Federation of Australia and so eligible to compete interstate at other clubs, in national level competitions or even to represent Australia in international events.

Our club members have competed in Hobart, Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane, Mt Martha, Melbourne, Adelaide and Wollongong and also competed in the Australian Masters Games and the PFA National Competitions.
